A small (17cm. long) section of recovered aluminum from the WWI German Zeppelin LZ-85, which was shot down over SALONIKA HARBOUR in Greece by the guns of the British Warship H.M.S. AGAMEMNON on 5th May 1916. Recovered from the Vardar Marshes, it was partly reconstructed and put on display at the White Tower, Salonica. Framed together with a photograph of William Lindsay; the Canadian soldier who found it. Very Fine.
