This is the First edition of the manuscript, copy of Ptolemys Geography, commissioned in Florence in about 1470 for Alfonso of Calabria Manuscript and now in Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris (Ms. lat. 4802). It includes 75 b&w plates of which 49 maps entitled “cartes anciennes", 14 mapes "cartes nouvelles" and 10 town plans of Milan, Venice, Rome, Florence, Constantinople, Jerusalem, Damascus, Cairo, Alexandria, Adrianople. A few dampness stains on the edges of pages not affecting the text.
