First edition. Large 4to, Text Volume: pp. 173 pages, Plates Volume: 72 numbered loose plate sheets in portfolio. Rare. This is volume II of Larisa am Hermos, publications. The joint Swedish-German excavation started in 1902 was the first at Larissa in Asia Minor and led by Lennart Kjellberg and Johannes Böhlau. It was sponsored by among other Oscar II of Sweden. The finds were taken to the archeological museums of Stockholm and Istanbul.

Original paper covers with external wear, small tears, minor loss at the top/bottom of the spine cover and portfolio’s wrappers. The binding is sound & the plates in excellent condition.
