Contemporary handwritten dedication on half-title signed “Roux”. Doctor Gaspard Roux was the Chief Medical Officer of the Morea expedition. In this important account he provides important information about the events of the expedition focusing on the medical issues/events and including several reports about diseases, medical treatment methods, deaths and descriptions of military hospitals. At the end (pp. 125-173) are included official letters of the French military and Greek authorities. Droulia 1737. RARE.
