This is a book by Max Beerbohm (1872 – 1956), an English caricaturist, essayist and parodist. The drawings were Beerbohms humorous imaginings concerning the life of Dante Gabriel Rossetti and his fellow Pre-Raphaelites. It is now considered one of Beerbohms masterpieces. Original blue cloth, with gilt lettering on front cover and spine; visible external wear, dull and rubbed spine, missing a small part on top. Browned pages inside, but clean and tight. Good copy.
