In the current work, Buchon published for the first time the complete Greek text of the first book of Vellehardouins Chronicle of the Morea / Τα Χρονικά του Μορέως (“Χρονικά των εν Ρωμανία και μάλιστα εν τώ Μωρέα πολέμων των Φράγκων), accompanied by the complete translation in French of the second book “Chronique des Guerres des Francais en Romanie et en Moree”. The volume includes “Index des villes, rivières et montagnes de Moree mentionnes dans cette chronique”, “des personnes mentionnes dans cette chronique, a l'exception de Moree”, “Index de mots français grécises dans cette chronique”. Contemporary binding: leather spine, thick carton marbled boards. Handwritten notes to paste-down, ex-libris label on first blanc.
