With engraved frontispiece, one map, engraved headings, title vignette; the title page of the first volume is missing. Contemporary full calf binding, 6 nerves gilt back (fleurons, title, numbering); some rubbing, bumped edges, begining of cracks along spine and hinges but solid binding overal. Coloured page edges, wetness on the first four leaves out of the text of the 2nd volume, text is clean.
